Lately I have been hearing a lot of Board Members and CEO’s say “how can social media be a priority when my sales have dropped?” In my opinion, all of interactive marketing (including social) must be implemented in a bad economy. Only pure ignorance and trepidation from old school thinking can make someone believe that social media should be cut when times are looking tough. 99 times out of 100, the “social is not a priority” statement comes from someone that does not understand how social media can be integrated into the business and marketing operations to drive measurable results. Gautrain you darling! Where have you been all my life?
I managed to catch my first Gautrain ride. I had to take it from Centurion to the OR Tambo International Airport and not Hatfield as planned because the train service was suspended from Hatfield due to cable theft.
What a smooth and pleasant experience. The Gautrain’s leaving every 20min (off-peak) and fast.
Did I say fast ? It took the best of about 25min to reach my destination and effortless.
Check out the Gautrain website for a map, schedules and fares.
Airport client monitor – Snow Leopard
The AirPort Mangement Utility and AirPort Client Monitor provide powerful tools for planning, setting up, fine-tuning, and managing larger, enterprise-class wireless networks.
This utility ran on older version of Mac OS X 10.3 and as the description above says can be used to manage your AirPort wireless networks.
Since this tool does not work on Snow Leopard I prefer to use iStumbler to troubleshoot wifi speeds etc. on my Macbook Pro.
Check out iStumbler here: http://www.istumbler.net
